Indian Cricket Team’s victory down under was a historic moment for all Indians and all cricket fans. As Harsha Bhogle said, there can not be a better commercial for test cricket. One thing that stood out in the recent victory was the fact that we were under dogs with most of our regular players out of the squad due to injuries. Yet we managed to eke out a win over the full strength squad of Australia at their own backyard. And apart from sports, it is a lesson for everyone to believe and hope that things will take a good turn. It is our responsibility to put our best irrespective of the result.

My friend Vishnu has always believed in the fact that result is just a by-product of process (Maybe he was inspired from MSD, who knows). But I learnt the same the hard way. It was not easy for me to change my perception. Finally it dawned on me that there is no reason to not believe in the world. World seems to give glimmers of hope every time when we think doom is near. And that credit goes to the people of this world. After all, there is no better place and better time in history of mankind to be existent. We have everything. And we have all reasons to hope. In one line reiterating the thing I learnt from the Indian cricket team was to believe. I told the same words to Abhay Sharma when I read his case of Blood cancer.

Abhay Sharma is just 11 years old and a student of standard V. I never had existential problems at the age of 11, so I do not know how to empathize with Abhay Sharma. But all said and done, his treatment costs around 2.5 Lakhs of INR. And he is losing hope as day passes. I told myself that Abhay Sharma will come to understand the power of human and humanity post his treatment. We, Caring Souls Foundations, NGO from Uttar Pradesh are raising funds for his treatment. We do not request you share a big portions of your earnings but we request a donation of INR 50 from each individual who is reading this post and also share it with your friends and family. And as the saying goes, small drops together make a big ocean. If everyone can contribute 50 rupees each, we can easily fund the treatment of Abhay Sharma. I have done my part in contributing 0 rupees and expect others also to do. I strongly believe that I will write another blog with Abhay Sharma posing for a photo post his treatment. Thanks to all the souls in advance for the decision you have taken to contribute to bringing back a smile to Abhay Sharma and upholding the unsaid eternal truth of hope and humanity to Abhay.
